First thing to do is run a fuel pressure test. You need over 60 PSI for the truck to start. They are very sensitive to fuel pressure. Starts with starting fluid? Any help would be appreciated.

I sense replaced the fuel pump because I had it apart and some fuel tank sealer that is an opoxy I’m hoping this will work but I’m wanting to know is there any type of sensor that would stop the truck from starting at random and It only happened on hot days For a couple years but drove great in the winter.

Around like this for two summers in the winter time at ran perfectly thinking that the sealant around where the fuel pump was giving way and it was damp on top of the fuel gas tank Well not damp but you could see were fresh leaking occured from around it. The reason I replaced it is because in the summer time I could start up first time and off I went and if I started it right away After shutting it off I would start fine but if I wait any manner time it would not start for awhile, the first time it took 15 minutes the second time took a couple hours and progressively got worse until now it would not start until it feels like it, the last time I drove it, it died on me and would not start. Okay so I have a 96GMC Chevrolet K 1500 suburban I replaced the fuel pump and noticed around the tank there was some type of aftermarket sealant to seal the fuel pump flange.
